ABOUT ROB
My name is Rob Goodland. I am a retired Lieutenant and Paramedic from a career fire department in Wisconsin. I currently work part-time for the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
I was a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Eau Claire Fire Department in Wisconsin for 24 years and discovered my love of horses at the age of 10, but was not able to fulfill my dream of owning and working with horses until much later in life.
In 2005, my dream became a reality when I met Royale, a 5-year-old Appaloosa gelding. As I searched for the best way to become partners with my horse, I discovered Parelli Natural Horsemanship and attended the 2 week Liberty and Horse Behavior course in 2008. It was my first on-campus experience in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and one I will never forget.
This was my beginning to finding my way to the new role for horses as they are greatest teachers of being present in the here and now.
Today I have a business coaching people about how to move through challenging transitions in their lives as well as teaching people about basic horsemanship. I’m currently going through training, offered by Melisa Pierce of Touched By a Horse, to be an Equine Gestalt Method Coach. In addition, I have the privilege of working with horses and military veterans diagnosed with PTSD at a local therapeutic riding center.
I look forward to sharing with you what I have learned so that you too can move through your difficult transitions and if you have a horse, create the relationship you’ve always wanted with your horse. Please visit GoodlandHorsemanship.com for more details about my horsemanship services.
In addition, both Larry and I have separate businesses teaching people about the benefits of essential oils and natural healthcare, for both humans and horses.
I am blessed to live in the country with my dog, cats, and 6 horses, some retired and some up and coming. I have two daughters and two grandsons.
